Every time I become a writer without a permanent home, I come back here. For years I toiled at the Times-Reporter of Dover-New Philadelphia, Ohio. For 19 years I served as its editor. From 2011-2016 I had a relationship with the Tuscarawas County edition of the Bargain Hunter, but we divorced after a spat of sorts. It happens. I write this column because I believe someone ought to be paying attention to what's happening in our communities, our state and our nation. And also because I'm kind of a curmudgeon. Obviously, I'm not doing it for the money. Please also check out tuscbargainhunter.com for some columns that do not appear in this space. The T-R's archive, when I last took a look, remains a depository for earlier columns from the early 2000s.
Sherri Douglas was kind enough to send some photos of the fundraising event held Saturday to benefit Danny Jeandervin. Sorry, I don't have any caption info. The spaghetti dinner was held at the Masonic Temple.
